MUTAZIONE are an Italian alternative metal band.
It was formed in 2022 in Lecce by Domenico Ragone (music & arrangements) and Salvatore Caracuta (vocals & lyrics). An almost chance meeting for a live show together sanctioned the decision to create on a new unreleased project, marked for the most by alternative metal sounds accompanied by post-grunge overtones.
In July 2023 the band releases their first single “Addiction” with a promotional video. The entire album “Mutazione” was released in September 2023, containing 12 tracks, 11 original songs and a cover song, “I Miss You” by Adele, rearranged in Mutazione style.
In the songs one can immediately recognize the influences that characterized the training and musical experience of both: distorted guitars, catchy and iridescent groove, lyrics containing that “pathos" hidden between metaphors and similes in which the listener can identify with. MUTAZIONE offer a real journey towards the exploration of the imaginary and "the unspoken," sometimes with autobiographical descriptions representing the succession of certain events.
In October 2023, Salvatore Caputo (guitarist) and Ivan Giannaccari (drummer) complete the line-up to prepare live performance.
